He Tour of Italy 2023 will dispute his fourth stage on Tuesday May 9. The race enters the Apennines and the runners will face a 175 kilometer journey between Venosa and Lake Laceno which will have a positive unevenness of 3500 meters.
After an initial part on a fast road, the cyclists will come across mountain passes. The first climb the Passo delle Crocelle of category 2 and then the ascent to Valico Di Monte Carruozzo, also category 2. Both are characterized by myriad uphill and downhill switchbacks, and fairly consistent grades of around 5-6%.
In the last kilometers the climb to Colle Molella (2nd category). It will be an ascent of 9.9 kilometers, which has an average of 6% on its ramps. In the last 3 kilometers there are sharp curves and slopes with slopes of 10% and 12%. The arrival is a straight line of 300 meters.
