He Tour of Italy 2023 will dispute his third stage he monday may 8 with a medium mountain stage, with a route of 216 kilometers between Vast and Melfi and an accumulated unevenness of 1400 meters.
The first 170 km are flat, so the peloton is expected to stay together for a large part of the race, until reaching the Vulture Mountains, where the route will change completely. They will then ascend to Valico dei Laghi di Monticchio (3rd category, at 6.4%) to immediately face another rise in Valico la Croce (4th category, at 7.6%).
The route will end with a descent full of curves until reaching Melfi after a short climb.
