Vlahovic brand, Juventus derrota or Lecce and time to win the Campeonato Italiano

Juventus ended a streak of four games without a win by defeating Lecce this Wednesday, for the 33rd round of the Italian Championship. With goals from Leandro Paredes and Dusan Vlahovic, Velha Senhora won 2-1 at the Allianz Stadium, in Turin.

On the other hand, striker Assan Ceesay discounted for the visitors who occupy the 16th position of the table, with 31 points added, and fight against the relegation of A league. The result took Juventus to the provisional vice-leadership of the competition, with 63 points.

Without winning for four rounds in the Italian, Massimiliano Allegri’s team conquers the first three points since the victory against Hellas Verona, on April 1st. Since then, Juve lost to Lazio, Sassuolo and Napoli, and drew with Bologna, last Sunday.

The game

The home team started with everything, opening the scoring after 15 minutes of play. Defensive midfielder Leandro Paredes took a long-distance free kick, the ball passed alongside the barrier, took effect and only stopped at the back of the net.

In the 27th minute, Nicolo Fagioli made a beautiful pass from Fabio Miretti to invade the area and touch the Lecce goalkeeper’s exit. However, the referee annulled the young midfielder’s goal for offside, with the help of VAR.

The game seemed to be heading towards a quiet victory for Juventus, when defender Danilo committed a penalty. The Brazilian touched the ball with his hand inside the area and the referee pointed to the whitewash mark. Assan Ceasay took the penalty and converted to equalize.

Following, Filip Kostic crossed for Vlahovic to take first and score a beautiful volley goal in the 40th minute. Hired for around 80 million euros last season, the striker has not scored in 11 games for Juventus, in Serie A.
