When 2023 closes Aerosmithone of the last great rock bands is going to launch a farewell tour, the band announced on Monday. The farewell tour also includes the original frontman Steven Tyler, lead guitarist Joe Perry, guitarist Brad Whitford and bassist Tom Hamilton. The group’s founding drummer, Joey Kramer, will not be present. While Joey Kramer sadly remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith made the decision not to participate in the currently scheduled tour dates in order to focus all his attention on his family and healththe group added to its letter. “Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drums will be sorely missed.”

The tour announcement comes a few months after one Woman sued Tyler for sexual assault when she was a teenager in the 1970s. The last tour at the moment does not include dates in South Americawhere the group has often played. In Ecuador it was presented twice, in 2011 and in 2017 as part of the Rock & Shout festival. Both presentations took place in Quito.
