Ronaldo tops Forbes list of highest paid athletes in the world
The Portuguese striker of the Saudi club “Al-Nasr” Cristiano Ronaldo topped the ranking of the highest paid athletes in the world according to Forbes magazine. A complete list is available on the publication’s website.
Forbes took into account the salary, as well as all prizes and bonuses earned by athletes from May 1, 2022 to May 1, 2023. The forward’s income is estimated at $136 million.
In second place is Paris Saint-Germain striker Lionel Messi, who led the rankings in 2022. He earned $130 million. Another PSG striker, Kylian Mbappe, was third with 120 million.
The Portuguese moved to Al Nasr on December 30, 2022. The striker’s contract is for two years. His salary at the club is 200 million euros per year, which makes him the highest paid footballer in the world.
