First date, first incidents. The derby between Montpellier and Marseille degenerated in the stands late in the game.
Marseille player Valentin Rongier was hit in the head by a bottle while celebrating a goal with his team. Later the game was interrupted by new launches of objects. After 12 minutes of confusion it resumed and ended with victory for the Marseille team.
On August 25, the French LFP’s disciplinary committee decided to close the two main stands of the events at the Montpellier stadium for three games.
August 22: clashes in Brittany
After the Breton derby between Rennes and Nantes (1-0), several fans of the two teams staged an attempted confrontation.

In Angers, after the match against Olympique de Marseille (0-0), several dozen Marseille fans caused damage to the stadium before private security imposed order.
