Zenit are confident that Malcolm and Wendel will not leave in the summer transfer window
Executive Director of Zenit Maxim Pogorelov spoke about the continuation of cooperation with Brazilian players Wendel and Malcolm in the future. The words of the functionary are quoted by Sport-Express.
Pogorelov expressed confidence that the players would not leave the club during the summer transfer window. “There are definitely no discussions on this issue,” he said.
On February 24, it became known that Malcolm and another Brazilian football player of Zenit, Claudinho, received Russian citizenship. Former striker of the Russian national team Ari said that athletes were condemned in Brazil when they learned about their decision.
Malcom has been playing for Zenit since 2019. As part of the St. Petersburg team, he became the winner of the Russian Cup and three-time national champion, and also won the Russian Super Cup three times.
