Dmitry Gafin, a member of the board of directors of Dynamo, commented on the defeat in the match dedicated to the centenary of the club against Fakel Voronezh. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Firstly, I would like to compliment Fakel, they are fighting. We have many factors of defeat. The coach leads the process. Key reasons in all components,” said Gafin. The functionary apologized for the loss and added that the team was ashamed of this result. He also called the resignation of head coach Slavisha Jokanovic a high probability if the blue-and-whites do not get into the number of winners of the Russian championship.
Earlier, on April 28, Dynamo lost at home to Fakel with a score of 0: 2 in the match of the 25th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Guest forward Georgiy Gongadze hit the blue-and-white goal in the 49th minute, and then doubled the team’s advantage by converting a penalty in the 61st.
After 25 games, Dynamo is in sixth place in the Russian Championship standings with 39 points. Dynamo will play Khimki next on May 6.
