Olympic medalist Nosov called information about criminal prosecution in Indonesia a lie
The bronze medalist of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens in judo Dmitry Nosov reacted to the information that he was put on the criminal wanted list in Indonesia. His words are quoted by Match TV.
The former athlete called the published publications a lie and a provocation of enemies. He stressed that his lawyers contacted the Indonesian police, who stated that there was no criminal case against him.
Earlier on Friday, April 28, the Mash Telegram channel reported that a criminal case was opened against Nosov after he beat a hotel employee in August 2022. The conflict occurred due to the employee’s refusal to open the safe with money and documents to the athlete.
Nosov won bronze at the Athens Olympics in judo in the category up to 81 kilograms. He also has a bronze medal at the European Championship in the same category.
