Coach Tarasova said that a coalition of 36 countries will not affect the admission of Russians to tournaments
Honored coach of the USSR in figure skating Tatyana Tarasova appreciated the creation of a coalition of 36 countries to prevent Russian athletes from participating in international competitions. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.
“This is their decision. What do we care? Form? The flag is in their hands. No one will listen to anyone in this matter, ”said the specialist. According to her, Russia’s admission depends on the decision of the International Olympic Committee and Poland with 36 countries will not be able to influence this.
Earlier on April 27, Polish Minister of Sports and Tourism Kamil Bortnichuk said that the country was in the process of creating a coalition of 36 states opposed to the return of Russians and Belarusians to international tournaments.
On March 28, the IOC recommended that Belarusians and Russians who did not support the special operation in Ukraine be allowed to compete in a neutral status. At the same time, athletes from Russia and Belarus associated with the armed forces or security agencies of their countries are recommended to be suspended from participating in tournaments.
