Dyachenko said she lost a couple of thousand euros due to the removal of a Polish airline from a flight
Russian tennis player Vitalia Dyachenko spoke about the consequences of removing the Polish airline LOT from a flight. Her words are quoted by Izvestia.
The athlete said she lost “a couple of thousand euros” because of this incident. “Well, besides, the loss of time, the loss in the rating. There are competition days that are needed in terms of time for an application for Roland Garros. And the missed tournament in Corsica just counted, ”added the tennis player.
On April 24, it became known that LOT employees did not let Dyachenko on a flight from Cairo to Warsaw, citing airline rules. The athlete said that she had to stay at the Egyptian airport for 18 hours. Because of this, she missed the competition in Nice, where she planned to get with a transfer in Poland.
32-year-old Dyachenko is ranked 250th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) ranking. She has one title in the tournaments of the organization in doubles.
