On Friday morning, the Real Madrid released a medical bulletin on social media reporting the injury suffered by Luka Modric. The Croatian midfielder could be out for up to two weeks, becoming absent in the final of the King’s Cup and in the semifinal of the Champions League.
“Following tests carried out on our player Luka Modrić by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the back of the thigh of his left leg. Evolution pending”, wrote Real Madrid in an official statement.

Modric was on the field in Real Madrid’s last game, against Girona, for Spanish Championship. A merengue team was defeated by 4 to 2 and the Croatian midfielder was replaced 18 minutes into the second half, after feeling muscle discomfort.
“Luka is injured and we don’t know when he’ll be back. Let’s see if it’s possible to have him at least for the Copa del Rey final, we’re still not sure,” said Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti at a press conference this Friday. -fair.
The next commitments of the Meringue club are against Almería and Real Sociedad, for the Spanish Championship, and then Real Madrid travels to Seville to face Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final, at La Cartuja stadium, on May 6th.
After playing in the Copa del Rey, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti faces Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabéu, for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal.
