Manchester City have “one hand in the cup” after their victory on Wednesday against Arsenal. Pep Guadiola’s team thrashed the current Premier League leaders 4-1 and is two points away from Gunners on the table, but still have two games less to overtake them.
After City’s fourth goal, scored by striker Erlin Haaland, goalkeeper Ederson turned to the visiting crowd and made a provocative gesture. The Brazilian celebrated with his hands on his face, simulating a “cry” and the act went viral on social networks. Check out!

At the end of the match, players from both teams disagreed and there was confusion on the way out of the field, caused by the effusive celebration of some Manchester City athletes, including Ederson, and the irritation of the defeated side.
With the elastic result, the citizens reached 73 points in the English Championship and will face Fulham in the next round, Sunday, at 10 am (Brasília time). Arsenal, on the other hand, is at 75 points and faces the chelsea in London derby, on Tuesday, at 4 pm.
