Sport24: the Russian national football team can play with the United Arab Emirates in a friendly match in the summer of 2023
Sport24 named another possible rival of the Russian national football team in an international match. This was reported on the publication’s website.
The Russian team can play with the UAE. “After the participation of the Russian youth team in the tournament in Dubai, negotiations on this issue will be organized,” the source said. He also noted that a friendly meeting could be held in Abu Dhabi in 2023: either in late June – early July, or in the fall during the break for national team matches.
Earlier, the President of the Russian Football Union, Alexander Dyukov, said that the team could meet with players from Asia, Africa and Latin America. “Sooner or later we will play with Europe, but I would not be in a hurry to say that we will play some kind of match in June,” he said.
The Russian national team has not played in international tournaments since February 2022 due to sanctions from the International Football Federation and the Union of European Football Associations.
