Russian Ivan Emelianenko will make his debut fight in mixed martial arts (MMA) against Brazilian Fabio Maldonado. The opponent of the TASS fighter was named by the promoter Vladimir Khryunov.

He noted that the meeting will be held on May 26 in Moscow. Earlier it was reported that the Russian could fight with Antonio Silva.

Ivan, the younger brother of MMA fighters Alexander and Fedor Emelianenko, is a master of sports in combat sambo. On account of the 43-year-old Maldonado 29 wins, 6 losses and a draw. In 2016, the Brazilian lost to Fedor Emelianenko by decision of the judges.
