Although cleaning the oven is not the most pleasant household duty, there is no doubt that it should be done on a regular basis. Greasy stains inside the device not only affect its appearance, but also the taste of food prepared in it. However, there is a simple way to get rid of dirt in a really short time.
How to clean the oven thoroughly? Prepare a homemade degreaser
If you do not want to overpay for branded degreasers, prepare a homemade one that will work just as well. It consists of only three ingredients. They are water, gray soap and lemon essential oil. Boil a liter of liquid in a saucepan, and then grate about 60 grams of detergent. Combine both ingredients by mixing thoroughly. When the soap is completely dissolved, turn off the heat and wait for the decoction to cool. Finally, add a few drops of essential oil to the mixture. Pour everything into a spray bottle.
Clean the oven in 15 minutes. Before you start cleaning, prepare a dish with water
oven takes a long time. However, there is a proven way to remove dirt in a dozen or so minutes. Preheat the device to 200 degrees Celsius. For particularly tough stains, place a heatproof dish filled with water inside. Remove the bowl after 30 minutes. In this way, you will effectively soften burnt leftovers.
Spray the center of the oven with a homemade product. If you have scorch gel at home, you can also use it for this trick. Then cover the bottom of the device with a paper towel. Close the door again and wait 10 – 15 minutes. In the meantime, turn off the oven.
Vapors resulting from the impact of high temperature on the product will remove greasy stains. Finally, wipe the surface with a soft sponge soaked in water. Stains should disappear after the first cleaning. Don’t forget to wipe the rubber by the door – dirt also collects there.
