Hockey club “Siberia” announced the appointment of David Nemirovsky to the post of head coach. This was reported on the team’s website.

The contract with the 46-year-old specialist was signed for a year with the possibility of extension for another season. Kirill Fastovsky, general director of Sibir, noted that the choice was made in favor of the Russian-Canadian coach, as he has progressive views on hockey and experience in the Continental Hockey League (KHL).

Nemirovsky from 2015 to 2018 was the sports director and assistant coach of Admiral. From 2018 to 2022, he headed the Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo”.

On April 11, Andrei Martemyanov left the post of head coach, having worked with the team for two seasons. Under his leadership, the team twice finished sixth in the KHL Eastern Conference and were eliminated after the first round of the playoff series.
