Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2023: profile, route and participants
The 109th edition of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2023the last classic of the Ardennes triptych, will take place next Sunday, April 23, in a route that will largely follow the one addressed last year. Both the men’s and women’s races will be held. in one of the classic races that are part of the UCI WorldTour calendar.

Liège-Bastogne-Liège 2023 will have a total of 258.5 kilometres, starting and ending in the mythical Belgian town, on a route that accumulates more than 4000 meters of unevenness. The runners will have to face a total of 10 levels, in a constant sequence of steep and short climbs, among which the millennial Côte des Forges (1.3 km at 7.8%), with its return being the great novelty, the emblematic La Redoute (2 km at 8.6%) or the decisive Roche-aux-Faucons (1.3 km at 11%), which is crowned with 13 kilometers to go from the finish line.
Two of the great favourites, Remco Evenepoel (winner of the previous edition) and Tadej Pogacar (recent winner of the walloon arrow and the Amstel Gold Race) will face each other in one of the few duels expected between the two this season. In addition to these, Basque cyclists will be in the race Michael Landa, bilbao hair and Alex Aranburualong with other greats like Jai Hindley, Thomas Pidcock, Richard Carapaz or Julian Alaphilippe.
The race will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the arrival at the finish line is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

In addition to those mentioned, the race will feature runners such as Lizzie Deignan, Liane Lippert, Gaia Realini, Mavi Garcia and Évita Muzic.
