Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi played a draw with Chinese Ding Liren in the eighth game of the match for the world chess title. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

32-year-old Nepomniachtchi, for whom this is the second attempt to win the world chess crown, played with white pieces. The game ended on the 82nd move. After the ninth game, the Russian continues to lead – 5:4.

The next game of the match, which takes place in Astana, will take place on April 23. The winner of the tournament will be the first chess player to score at least 7.5 points.
