Racing wins Aucas-EQU and assumes isolated leadership in Flamengo’s group in Libertadores

For the second round of Group A of Libertadores CupRacing received Aucas-EQU, this Thursday night, at El Cilindro stadium, in Avellaneda (ARG), and won by 3 to 2. Maximiliano Romero, Juan Nardoni and Wilker Ángel (own goal) scored for the owners of the home, while Erick Castillo and Luis Cangá scored the away goals.

Thus, the Argentine team maintains 100% success in the competition and remains in the isolated leadership of the group, with six points in two matches.

On the other hand, the Ecuadorian team, debuting in the continental tournament and which beat Flamengo in the first round, meets his first defeat. With that, he remains with three goals, appearing in third place. The Red-Black, who triumphed over last-placed Ñublense-CHI on Wednesdayis the vice-leader, also with three points.

In the next round, therefore, Racing will face the club from Rio, at 7 pm (Brasília time) on Thursday, May 4, again at home. For their part, Aucas will visit Ñublense, on Tuesday, starting at 7 pm, at Collao Stadium, in Concepción (CHI).
