Sevilla beat Manchester United to advance to Europa League semi-finals
Three semi-finalists of the Europa League season 2022/2023 have been determined. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The Spanish Sevilla reached the 1/2 finals, having won a crushing home victory over the English Manchester United with a score of 3:0. Striker Youssef En-Nesiri opened the scoring in the eighth minute of the meeting after an error by the opponent’s players. In the 47th minute, defender Loic Bade increased the lead. On 81 minutes, En-Nesiri scored a double. The first match ended in a draw – 2:2.
Also in the semifinals were the Turin “Juventus”, the sum of two meetings turned out to be stronger than the Portuguese “Sporting”, and the German “Bayer”, knocking out the Belgian “Union”. Feyenoord of the Netherlands and Roma of Italy are battling for the last spot in extra time.
The 2023 Europa League final will take place on 31 May. The match will take place in Budapest at the Puskas Ferenc Stadium. Russian clubs do not take part in the European Cups in the 2022/2023 season by decision of UEFA.
