Michael Schumacher’s family sues Die Aktuelle magazine over fake interview
The family of seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher will sue German magazine Die Aktuelle for publishing an AI-generated interview with the athlete. AP reports.
The headline said that this was the first interview of the rider since the accident. In a fake interview, they claimed that Schumacher’s life completely changed after the accident and became terrible for his entire family. Inside the note, it was explained that the quotes were created by artificial intelligence.
In the summer of 2022, Schumacher’s former manager Willi Weber criticized the driver’s family. The functionary accused the German’s relatives of lying about the athlete’s state of health.
Michael Schumacher suffered a head injury on December 29, 2013 while skiing in the Alps. Having left the track, he tripped on a stone and hit his head on a rock ledge. After the injury, the athlete fell into a coma. For the past four years, Schumacher has been recovering in his own villa, which is located on the shores of Lake Geneva.
