Russian woman Irina Alekseeva before her debut fight in the UFC was introduced as a fighter from Kazakhstan
Mixed style fighter (MMA) Irina Alekseeva explained her debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) not under the Russian flag. This was reported on the website of the organization.
On the Russian-language website of the UFC, Alekseeva is listed as a representative of Kazakhstan. On April 30, she will meet in the octagon with Swiss Stefanie Egger, for whom this will be the sixth fight in the organization.
Alekseeva called the appearance of the flag of Kazakhstan in the announcement of her fight a mistake. “To be honest, I don’t know why the Kazakh flag was placed on the UFC website. Frankly speaking, I don’t care what the flag will be there, the most important thing is that I’m in the UFC. Anyway, everyone knows who I am and where I come from, ”said the Metaratings girl.
32-year-old Alekseeva, known as Russian Ronda, competes in the bantamweight division. Previously, she took part in battles in another American promotion – Bellator. She has four wins and one loss.
