Arthur Cabral scores, Fiorentina seeks a draw with Atalanta in the Italian and maintains unbeaten record

In a duel valid for the 30th round of the Italian ChampionshipFiorentina received Atalanta at Artemio Franchi and drew 1-1. Maehle scored for the visitors, while former Palmeiras player Arthur Cabral scored for Viola this Monday.

With the score level, the Fiorentina reached a 14-game unbeaten streak. The team has not known what a defeat is since the setback against Juventus on February 12. With 42 points and ninth on the table, the team’s next game is against Lech Poznan, on Thursday, for the Conference League quarterfinals.

Atalanta, on the other hand, missed the chance to get even closer to the Champions League qualifying zone. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are sixth on 49 points, four behind fourth-placed Milan. The team returns to the field next Monday, in a duel against Roma.

The game

Fiorentina started the match attacking and had a good chance in the 24th minute, when González headed in and Sportiello made the save. However, who opened the scoring was Atalanta, at 27. Maehle took advantage of Scalvini’s header pass, passed by two markers and finished. The ball deflected off Milenkovic and into the back of the net.

In the second stage, Fiorentina finally managed to turn their game volume into a ball in the net. In the 10th minute, the referee saw defender Rafael Tolói touch the ball and awarded a penalty. Arthur Cabral went to the penalty spot and hit the left corner, displacing goalkeeper Sportiello.

In addition, Sottil almost put Fiorentina in front of the scoreboard. The striker headed in after a corner kick and forced Sportiello to defend on top of the line.
