Ukrainian boxer Redkach criticized Oleksandr Usyk for his political statements
Ukrainian boxer Ivan Redkach, in an interview with the YouTube channel ESNEWS, criticized compatriot Oleksandr Usyk for his political statements.
The athlete said that he does not like Usyk, and in a possible fight against Deontay Wilder, he intends to support the American. Usyk says crazy things about politics. If you are a boxer, then stay a boxer. Why are you getting into politics? He has zero experience,” he counted.
On April 14, English businessman Simon Jordan announced that a mini-boxing tournament would be organized in the Middle East with the participation of British Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as Mustache and Wilder. Contractions should take place in December 2023.
Fury and Usyk were supposed to fight on April 29, negotiations for the fight have been going on since the fall of 2022. On March 22, the manager of the Ukrainian Egis Klimas announced the cancellation of this fight.
In August 2022, Redkach ridiculed Usyk’s appearance as a Zaporozhye Cossack at a battle of views before the fight with Briton Anthony Joshua. He called the boxer a pure clown. The duel ended with the victory of the Ukrainian.
Usyk holds World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA) world titles.
