Javier Burrai, the goalkeeper of Barcelona SC, was the hero of the match in which the Toreadors beat Liga de Quito 1:0 at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium on Saturday night.

Since the inauguration in 1997, the Yellows have not been able to win on that field, in a 90-minute duel, but they won in stoppage time.

The same and under the same coach Fabián Bustos was in favor of the canaries, and his biggest reward was to win the title in 2020 and tour the Olympics in the university building.

“As I said before Cumbayá FC, the group is strong, united, everything is magnified here, if you win or lose, then we have to be like that both in defeat and in victory,” Burrai told GolTV.

“We have already achieved a very important victory for the history of the club, not in 90 (minutes), we faced a great rival, who defeated us in the last minutes and we strengthened ourselves in the last minutes. No one can say anything about the delivery, we are happy for the win in Guayaquil”, added the goalkeeper.

Burrai insisted on the unification of the group of players and pointed out that there is “euphoria” and “joy” in the dressing room.
