Ancelotti says he wants to stay at Real Madrid for next season

CBF favorite to take command of the Brazilian Team, coach Carlo Ancelotti indicated this Friday that his future could continue to be in Spain. In a press conference, the Italian announced that he spoke with the president of the Real MadridFlorentino Perez, and hopes to stay at the club until the end of his contract, in June 2024.

“I think Florentino wants me to continue, because he has always been very affectionate and he continues to do so. The club is calm and I am sure that I will be here next season, that we will respect the contract”, he revealed.

Ancelotti is the first choice of Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, for the position left by Tite. Despite the interest, the coach has expressed on several occasions that he does not want to leave the Madrid team before the end of his contract.

The Real commander also spoke about the absences of Vinícius Júnior and Toni Kroos in training this Friday. Ancelotti explained that the two athletes were rested due to physical exhaustion and should not play over the weekend.

“Vinicius ended the game against Chelsea with a strain on his groin, but without injury, like Kroos. It would be too big of a risk to use them considering we’re playing on Tuesday. They won’t play like others who haven’t recovered well. But both will play against Chelsea.”

In this Saturday’s match against Cádiz, valid for the Spanish Championship, Real Madrid must enter the field with an alternative team. The strategy is to prioritize Tuesday’s clash against Chelsea, valid for the Champions League quarterfinals.
