Kylian Mbappé has assured that he will remain in Paris Saint Germain in an interview given to the television channel France 3 on Wednesday, in which he also reaffirmed his dream of participating in the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held in the French capital.
“Where do you see yourself next season?”, the captain of the French national team was asked: “At Paris Saint-Germain, I’m Parisian, I have a contract, so at PSG”.
In May 2022, the 24-year-old striker renewed his contract with the French capital club until 2025, with an optional year according to the press.
Asked about his next goals, Mbappé explained that he wants to “conquer the Champions League”.
“I’ve already managed to reach a final (lost in 2020 to Bayern Munich) and semifinals, quarterfinals, round of 16. I’ve already achieved everything but victory [na decisão]. Thats the only thing missing. I hope it happens as soon as possible,” she said.
About the Paris-2024 Games, the 2018 world champion and finalist in 2022 reaffirmed the “dream” of participating.
“I hope to be there. Everyone knows that I always dreamed of playing in the Olympics, but it doesn’t depend on me, there are many parameters to take into account and it is necessary to evaluate”, he said.
“The truth is that it’s not on FIFA’s calendar. There’s the club too, there’s the national team, there’s a Euro Cup before (from June 14 to July 14, 2024 in Germany), so we have to talk. These are the parameters that must be taken into account. But of course it would be a dream to be at the Games, with one more reason to be in Paris”, he added.
