IBA is ready to exclude countries that have joined World Boxing from the organization
The International Boxing Federation (IBA) has called an alternative boxing association that the United Kingdom and the United States intend to create a “fraudulent organization”. The application is given on the official website of the IBA.
It is noted that these actions are a violation of the charter of the federation. In this regard, the leadership of the IBA declared its readiness to exclude countries that decided to join the UK and the USA from the membership of the organization.
Earlier, Inside the Games reported that the creation of an alternative association to the IBA, which will be called World Boxing. It will also include the national boxing federations of Germany, the Netherlands, the Philippines and Sweden.
On October 5, 2022, the IBA allowed boxers from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions under the auspices of the organization. Athletes are allowed to compete under national flags, and if they win, the national anthem will be played.
