Al-Nasr sacked head coach

Saudi Al-Nasr officially terminated the contract with head coach Rudy Garcia

Saudi club Al-Nasr have sacked head coach Rudy Garcia. This was officially announced by the team Twitter.

It is specified that the contract with the specialist was terminated by mutual agreement of the parties. Who will replace the Frenchman as head coach is not reported.

On April 12, Marca claimed that Al-Nasr Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo had asked the club’s management to fire Garcia. It was noted that the coach spoiled relations with the team’s players, and also did not live up to the expectations of the management. The last straw was that Garcia was in conflict with the players right in the locker room.

Al-Nasr is in second place in the Saudi Arabian league standings with 53 points. The team is three points behind leaders Al-Ittihad.

Ronaldo moved to Al Nasr on December 30, 2022. The Portuguese contract is for two years. His salary at the club is 200 million euros per year, making him the highest paid athlete in the world.
