Mane suspended by Bayern Munich for ‘misconduct’

The board of Bayern Munchen announced this Thursday a punishment for striker Sadio Mané. In a statement, the German club points out that the player will be suspended for one match – on Saturday, against Hoffenheim, for the German Championship – and will also receive a fine.

“Sadio Mané will not be available for the next game. The reason is Mané’s misconduct after the match against Manchester City, in the Champions League. In addition, Mané will receive a fine”, described the Munich team, on social networks. .

Bayern did not specify the athlete’s conduct problem. However, according to the newspaper Bild, Mané had a heated discussion in the changing rooms with Leroy Sané after the 3-0 defeat against Manchester City for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The argument would have resulted in the Senegalese attacking Sané with a punch in the mouth. The other Bayern athletes had to intervene and separate the players.
