Matches in sets format and innovative scoring system
In a first phase, everyone will face everyone in a league that will consist of seven days. That is, there will be meetings on days 17 and april 24 and the 1, 8, fifteen, 22 and May 29.
One of the novelties of this edition will be that the matches will be played in a set format, that is, initially the matches will be decided to the best of two sets of 15 points each. However, in the event that each of the couples is awarded a set, a set will be played. third set to 5 goals as a tiebreaker to determine the final winner of the match.
On the other hand, the league scoring system will be as follows:
Victory in two sets (2-0): 4 points.
Victory in the third set (2-1): 3 points.
Loss in the third set (1-2): 1 point.
Defeat in two sets (0-2): 0 points.
Defeat in two sets without adding 16 goals between them (0-2): -1 point.
Semifinals, June 5
At the end of the league, the couples classified in the first four places will be the ones that play the semifinal matches in a single day, specifically June 5.
Thus, the duo that occupies the first place in the classification will face the couple that ranked fourth in the semifinals. Consequently, the second and third ranked will face each other.
The winners of the two semifinals will be those who access the final scheduled for June 12.
