“Philadelphia” recognized Russian Ivan Provorov as the best defender of the season 2022/2023
The Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL) recognized Russian hockey player Ivan Provorov as the best defender in the 2022/2023 season. This was reported on the official website of the team.
The athlete received this title for the fourth time. Previously, he was named the best defender of the club in 2018, 2020 and 2021. During the season, Provorov played 81 matches as part of the team and scored 26 points in the “goal plus pass” system.
On January 18, Provorov refused to go out for a workout before the match with the Anaheim Ducks (5: 2) in a uniform with symbols in support of LGBT.
