This Tuesday, Chelsea announced the renewal of Ben Chilwell’s contract for another two seasons. Under the new contract, the English left-back will have an agreement with the Blues until June 2027.
Chilwell was signed by Chelsea in the summer 2020 transfer window, when the club were managed by Frank Lampard, who returned to the role last week. The defender stood out for Leicester City and was bought for 40 million pounds.

In three seasons for the Blues, Ben Chilwell made 80 appearances, provided 12 assists and scored nine goals. The side won the 2021 Champions League for Chelsea, in addition to the Club World Cup and the European Super Cup.
“I feel really good at Chelsea and have really enjoyed my time here, so I’m delighted the club want me to be part of their long-term project and I’m delighted to sign this contract extension. We’re working hard and I’ll do my best. best to bring more smiles to the faces of the fans who made me feel so welcome,” said Chilwell.
Last season, the 26-year-old England winger made just 13 appearances before suffering a serious knee injury. A torn ligament kept Chilwell sidelined for more than six months at Chelsea and he missed out on England’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Chelsea face the Real Madrid this Wednesday, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, starting at 4 pm (BrasĂlia time), at the Santiado BernabĂ©u. Next Saturday, the Blues receive Brighton at home, for English Championship.
