“112”: an instructor and a psychologist are working with Roman Kostomarov preparing for prosthetics

An instructor and a psychologist began to work with the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov, who is preparing for prosthetics. The details of the athlete’s treatment became known to the 112 Telegram channel.

It is noted that at the moment Kostomarov is not recommended to fly because of the threat of thrombosis. According to the source, the athlete continues to take drugs that reduce blood clotting.

On March 31, information appeared that the skater could be transferred to a clinic in Germany to create and install prostheses. However, Kostomarov’s wife Oksana Domnina denied this.

Kostomarov was hospitalized on 10 January. He was diagnosed with left-sided pneumonia in combination with influenza B. According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, the skater was amputated with both feet, then the shins of both legs, the entire right hand, and several fingers of the left hand.
