Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Arman Tsarukyan announced his desire to obtain American citizenship. The athlete spoke on the Meta MMA YouTube channel.
“Why not? If I have the opportunity to obtain American citizenship, I will receive it, ”said the fighter. He added that he did not want to live in the United States, as he was more comfortable in Russia.
Tsarukyan has been competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since April 2019. In the first fight in the promotion, he lost to compatriot Islam Makhachev by unanimous decision. In total, Tsarukyan has 19 wins with three defeats.
On April 3, American boxer Kevin Johnson asked for Russian citizenship. The athlete said that he was ready to change his life, which is why he turned to the President of Russia.
