Against Aucas, this Sunday evening, Emelec added its third defeat (2-1) playing away from Capwell, in five days of playing in the Pro League.
Electricians succumbed at Machala (with Orense 2-1) and in Portoviejo (3-2 against Delfín), and with the addition that last Wednesday they made their debut in the Copa Sudamericana with a disappointing 2-0 with Danubio in Montevideo.
Miguel Rondelli, the coach of the millionaires, did not hide his discomfort with what happened and also clarified that there are no problems within the team, and that is because of the alleged problems in the dressing room.
“Today’s defeat is not something that worried me, we tried to be protagonists, we played with the champion. Not all matches were the same, we are progressing and that is the way,” said the Argentine coach at the press conference after the match.
🔵#Emelec. Miguel Rondelli. There’s a lot of nonsense being said, I’m tired of people going around looking for a “rotten apple”, a dressing room and so much more”…..

“I understand the despair of the fans and the concern of the people, but there is a lot of nonsense being said, stop looking around, that there is this in the dressing room, about rotten apples… We played well, but we lost if they are looking for someone who is responsible for this, it is me I don’t look for ghosts where there aren’t any,” Rondelli added annoyed.
Two questions were asked to the electrostrategist, and in the short time he answered, he did not stop showing his anger and clarified the issue of the departure of midfielder Dixon Arroyo.
“Don’t look for ghosts where there are none, there are no excuses here. In Dixon’s case, no one was kicked out, it was a mutual decision. When you play well, you don’t always win and I think that today we took a small step towards a quality step forward in the conceptual sense of the game, but it was not enough for us to win”, insisted the strategist.
“Anger is cumulative, we are dragging a backpack that we put on ourselves. Here, we always look at the welfare of the club, which is the most important thing,” Rondelli concluded. (D)
