Two points behind Chile, Ecuador must beat La Roja this Friday if they are to grab one of the two remaining spots for the final hexagonal of the South American U-17s.

Brazil dominates the top of Group A with seven points, followed by Chile with six and Uruguay together with Ecuador with four points. Colombia was at the bottom of the table with one point.

Ecuador has a better goal difference than Uruguay, but Celeste defeated Tricolor 2-0 in the fourth match, which puts them in the lead when it comes to qualifying for the final stage, which will be played in Quito.

The verdeamarelha will close participation in the group stage against Uruguay at the George Capwell Stadium, while the Tricolori define their last game against La Roja at the Christian Benítez Stadium.
