“It was a surprise as you never know what decision the club is going to make. There have been a lot of changes in the Premier League this season. It’s a huge challenge, as is taking over any team. I have complete compassion for all managers who lose their jobs. . I am ready to dedicate myself to this challenge and lead it day by day”, he added.
Frank Lampard, who has also managed Everton, is tasked with putting a dignified end to Chelsea’s season. The team still has nine appointments to go.
