Caretaker coach Lampard comments on returning to Chelsea: “It’s an easy decision for me”

After Graham Potter resignationlast Sunday, the Chelsea wasted no time and, this Thursday, announced the arrival of the idol Frank Lampard to the technical command of the team, on an interim basis, until the end of the current season, in June. The 44-year-old now coach commented on his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

“It’s a very easy decision for me. This is my club. I have a lot of emotions and feelings. I arrive with the conviction that I can help until the end of the season. I will do my best to give the fans what they expect There’s a lot of talent in the squad and I’m excited to work with the players and help them,” said Lampard, who joins Chelsea to manage the team for the second time in his short coaching career.

“It was a surprise as you never know what decision the club is going to make. There have been a lot of changes in the Premier League this season. It’s a huge challenge, as is taking over any team. I have complete compassion for all managers who lose their jobs. . I am ready to dedicate myself to this challenge and lead it day by day”, he added.

Frank Lampard, who has also managed Everton, is tasked with putting a dignified end to Chelsea’s season. The team still has nine appointments to go.
