In a duel valid for the semifinal of the French Cup, Annecy and Toulouse will face each other for an unprecedented place in the decision. The match, which will take place at the Parque Esportivo de Annecy, is scheduled for this Thursday, at 3:45 pm (Brasília time).
Favorite in the confrontation, Toulouse is currently in the elite of the French Championship. In 13th place, with 35 points, the cup is the main opportunity that the team has to win a relevant title in its history, since the only trophies that the club raised were from lower divisions.
For this, the French have the presence of a Brazilian in the squad: striker Rafael Ratão. Despite appearing occasionally among the starters, the 27-year-old athlete should not start playing. The likely 11 are: Haug; Desler, Costa, Nicolaisen and Suazo; Dejaegere, Spierings and Van den Boomen; Aboukhlal, Dallinga and Chaibi.

The home team is even more modest. Despite having eliminated Olympique de Marseille in the quarterfinals, Annecy is in the French second division, in 15th place. According to manager Laurent Guyot, their aim this season is to escape relegation.
Even so, the club from the French Alps plans to surprise the country even more and reach an unprecedented decision. For that, the team must start the game with: Callens; Lajugie, Mouanga and Jean; – Temanfo, Pajot (El Jahouari), Kashi, Demoncy and Bastian; Sahi (Bosetti) and Shamal.
The confrontation will be in a single match and will be decided on penalties in case of a tie. The final of the tournament is scheduled to take place on April 29 at the Stade de France. The game will not be broadcast in Brazil.
