On Wednesday afternoon, the Sporting visited Gil Vicente for the 26th round of the Portuguese Championshipat Estádio Cidade de Barcelos, and did not come out of the 0-0.
Thus, the Lions maintain a streak of invincibility in the national – six games, with five wins –, but misses the chance to get closer to third-placed Braga. The Lisbon club continues in fourth place, with 54 goals added, five behind the rival, which is in the classification zone for the playoffs of the Champions League.
On the other hand, the hosts are bitter for the third consecutive match without a triumph. Thus, it appears in 13th place, with 30 points earned.
In the next round, therefore, Sporting will play away from home again, against Casa Pia, at 2 pm (Brasília time) on Sunday, at Estádio Nacional do Jamor. The following afternoon, Gil Vicente receives Chaves, from 16:15.
