O Liverpool not a good season. The club has unconvincing presentations that, in addition to the elimination in the Champions League for Real Madrid, only the eighth place in the English Championship, with 42 points. Coach Jurgen Klopp commented on his team’s situation in 2023.

Klopp also said that he believes he can only continue at the head of the English team for the results obtained in previous seasons.
“I am aware that I am still at Liverpool because of my past, not what we did this season. If this was my first year here things would be a little different,” he continued.
The 55-year-old German also commented on recent layoffs in European football – namely: Julian Nagelsmann, from Bayern Munich, Antonio Conte, from Tottenham, Brendan Rodgers, from Leicester, and Graham Potter, from Chelsea.
“It’s been a strange week: Conte, Nagelsmann and now these two [Brendan Rodgers e Graham Potter]. The season has reached its decisive part and people are afraid that they may not reach their goals. For all four of them, I see a bright future in football,” he commented.

Finally, Klopp answered if he is afraid of being fired from Liverpool.
“There’s no reason to be afraid. I’m not here as a talisman, I’m here to deliver. There’s nothing more than that in my head”, concluded the coach.
Liverpool is back on the pitch this Tuesday, at 4pm (Brasília time), against Chelsea, in a delayed match for the eighth round of the Premier League, which takes place at Stamford Bridge. With the title chances remote, Klopp’s charges seek to enter the Champions League classification zone so that the season is not completely lost.
