Ronaldo’s team sacks coach after suffering a thrashing against Real Madrid

Real Valladolid visited the Real Madrid this sunday by Spanish Championship e was thrashed 6-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. After the defeat, coach José Rojo “Pacheta” was fired by the club in which Ronaldo Fenômeno is the majority owner.

The announcement was made this Monday morning through an official statement. Valladolid thanked the coach for his services and recognized the importance of Pacheta’s passage, which took the team to Spain’s first division last season.

Last month, another team whose owner is Ronaldo Fenômeno announced the departure of the coach. After elimination in Mineiro Championshipcoach Paulo Pezzolano left the cruise claiming he was “not 100%” committed to remaining in charge of the club.

The Uruguayan coach was moved when he announced his departure from Cruzeiro and revealed that he would not take over any Brazilian football team this year, out of respect for his former club. According to the newspaper O Tempo, Pezzolano would have outlined a career plan with the ultimate goal of being coach of the Uruguayan national team and would like to coach a club in Europe.

In the Spanish Championship, Valladolid occupies the 16th position in the table with 28 points added, one more than the 18th placed Almería, which opens the relegation zone. Ronaldo’s side have won just one of their last seven games and were knocked out of the Copa del Rey in January.

Under the command of Pacheta, the team played 75 official matches and gained access to La Liga last season. However, in this Spanish Championship, Valladolid only won 8 games after 27 rounds.
