Laso-Imaz and Elordi-Zabaleta, for the txapela of the Couples Championship

Unai Laso-Ander Imaz and Aitor Elordi-José Javier Zabaleta will face each other in the final of the 2023 Couples Championship on Sunday April 2 at the Navarra Arena. The grand final can be seen live on eitb.eus and ETB1 from 5:00 p.m.
On Thursday, March 30, both couples they chose the material for the big event at the Navarra Arena. The four protagonists were satisfied, so the balls will not be an excuse in the fight to win the title.
Laso and Imaz qualified for the final after winning the matches of the first two rounds of the semifinal group. In the first day they beat Altuna III and Tolosa by 22-21while in the second they beat Elordi and Zabaleta (22-19), who will be their rivals in the final. In the third and last day of the semifinals Laso and Imaz did not play for bad hands; they were replaced by Artola and Eskiroz, and the latter lost against Peña II and Mariezkurrena II (22-19).
However, In the initial group of the Couples Laso and Imaz were fourth and they achieved qualify for the next phase after beating Peio Etxeberria and Rezusta 22-21 the party of play off.
On the other hand, Elordi and Zabaleta got a pass to the final on the last day of the semifinal group. Furthermore, in that meeting Xabier Tolosa’s injury, Jokin Altuna’s partner, gave them a pass to the grand final. Tolosa was injured when together with Altuna he was winning 19-15but could not continue playing. In the first day of the semifinals, Elordi and Zabaleta beat Peña II-Mariezkurrena II (22-14) and in the second they lost against Laso-Imaz (22-19).
Although in the semifinals they suffered until the end, in the initial league of the championship Elordi and Zabaleta swept getting the first place with 12 wins in 14 games disputed.
trajectories apart, Laso-Imaz and Elordi-Zabaleta will take to the field of the Navarra Arena with the aim of donning the txapelas of the 2023 Couples Championship.
