Alex Ferguson, formerly of Manchester United, and Arsène Wenger, formerly of Arsenal, were honored this Wednesday with induction into the Hall of Fame of Premier League. The nomination came for the great contribution that the two had to the development of English football in the 90s and 2000s.

Ferguson was one of the most important names in United’s history. During 27 years, the commander won 13 Premier League titles, a record in the modern era of the competition. He was also responsible for training some of the great legends of the Manchester team, such as David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“My job was to send the fans home happy. United’s history and my own expectations were the things that motivated me and so I had to try to develop all my players with the same expectations and make sure we could achieve them,” said Ferguson. .

Wenger, on the other hand, was notable for being the coach who most managed a single Premier League club, with 828 appearances for Arsenal between 1996 and 2018. the London team in 2004.
“I’m very grateful to have been selected for the Premier League Hall of Fame. We’ve always wanted to give something special to the fans and when you have players capable of outstanding things, the most important thing for me is the obligation of perfection”, thanked Wenger.
