CSKA said they were ready to return the hockey player Fedotov to the squad after his dismissal from the army
The Moscow hockey club CSKA assessed the chances of returning to the goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov after his dismissal from the army. The statement is available on the team’s website.
CSKA said they were ready to return the hockey player if he was interested in this. They noted that the management of CSKA had no disagreements on this issue with the owner of the club. “So far, neither Ivan nor his representatives have applied with such proposals,” the representatives of the army emphasized.
On July 1, Fedotov was detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of evading military service. He was supposed to fly to the United States to play for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League next season. The player was sent to serve in the Russian Navy.
Later it was reported that Fedotov and CSKA had a conflict because of his decision to leave for the NHL. At the same time, agent Shumi Babaev said that the goalkeeper and the Moscow club maintained normal relations.
