The Portuguese coach José Mourinho is living days of uncertainty and rumors about his stay in Roma, despite good results. According to Sky Sport Italiathe sequence of the coach in the Italian club depends on “guarantees” that the team and he receive until the end of this European season.
The Portuguese has a contract with Roma until June 2024 and, even though he won the Conference League last year and is well placed in the Italian Championship and alive in the Europa League, Mourinho wants to guarantee the continuity of his project through reinforcements.
“Mourinho’s stay at Roma will depend on the technical guarantees he receives from the property before the end of the current season,” detailed the Italian website.
In the local press there were also rumors of a possible disagreement between the coach and Tiago Pinto, CEO of Roma. Both denied the erosion of the relationship in press conferences.
Even with good results in the team, Mourinho seems not to be an absolute certainty for the coming season at Roma. The coach believes that the club can bring better reinforcements and opening the coffers will be providential for the Italian team to count on Mourinho.
