Juventus say Ronaldo has signed a secret salary deal
Juventus Turin have said Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a secret salary deal. It is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the source, Juventus signed an agreement with some of the team’s players, in particular with Ronaldo during the coronavirus pandemic. It is noted that the athletes agreed to a pay cut in order to unofficially receive money after a while. On 20 April 2021, the head of the club’s legal department, Cesare Gabasio, wrote on social media that the Portuguese was the first to agree.
On January 20, information appeared that the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo was ready to sue Juventus. The reason was that the club allegedly owed the striker 19 million euros as part of an unofficial agreement concluded during the coronavirus pandemic.
Ronaldo played for Juventus from 2018 to 2021. As part of the team, he became a two-time Italian champion and winner of the Italian Cup.
