Bojan debuted for Barça aged just 16 in 2007 and was seen as one of the club’s jewels for the future and a possible successor to Lionel Messi.
However, despite the success at the base, the Spaniard was unable to repeat the same level in the professional and rotated for several European clubs, such as Roma, Milan, Ajax, Stoke City, Mainz and Alavés, without establishing himself. In 2019 he signed for Montréal, Canada, where he stayed until transferring to Japan in 2021.
For the Barcelona, there were 163 games, 41 goals scored and 19 assists. The midfielder was also part of three La Liga titles and two Champions League titles, but never as a protagonist.
