Four mountain passes and two special sprints await the runners on this fifth day of the Itzulia. The special sprints will arrive at kilometers 124 and 147, in muxika and in Amorebieta-Etxano respectively, while the scoring ports for the mountain classification are distributed throughout the route: the first, in the 3rd category, is Mount Kalbo, at kilometer 11, with 2.9 kilometers of ascent at 7.3%; then, at kilometer 54, participants must climb natxitua3rd, with 2.5 kilometers at 8%; Paresifrom 2nd, 4.3 kilometers at 7.7%, waits at kilometer 102 of the stage, while belarrinagafrom 3rd, with an ascent of two kilometers at 6.7%, is at kilometer 140, 25 from the conclusion.

The route of this stage may be suitable for the different teams to prepare their strategies before the end of the day, which will take place on a circuit that will force the strong men in the race to work in the leading positions.

The organization anticipates that the penultimate cyclist to raise his arms in this Itzulia will cross the finish line of Amorebieta-Etxano between 5:18 p.m. and 5:43 p.m..
